If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I tend to post brands that lean feminine. I love extra details. I love designing visual layers that feel like art. So when Homestead Lighting and Irrigation reached out, I was excited to take on a different kind of challenge—something a little more grounded, a little more rugged, but still beautifully intentional.
And honestly? It was a blast.

Homestead Lighting and Irrigation offers exactly what their name says—high-quality outdoor lighting and irrigation services. Their team is skilled, trustworthy, and built for outdoor work. But when we started talking about the brand, one key piece stood out.
The decision maker in their sales process is often a woman.
Even though it’s a masculine-leaning industry, we needed the brand to resonate with the homeowners who would actually say yes to the proposal. So we brought in just a hint of softness without losing the classic feel of a lighting and irrigation brand.
The result is a clean, elevated identity that appeals to both men and women. It feels capable and professional, but not overly industrial or harsh.


Most of my projects include brand photography, often with a lot of photo direction and strategy behind it. But for Homestead, we took a different route—and it turned out so well.
We worked with curated stock photography and video to showcase their work and create movement throughout the site. That added a dynamic feel without needing a full custom photoshoot. And let’s be honest—who doesn’t love a little scroll-stopping video on a homepage?
The textures, the colors, the lighting scenes—it all came together to create a digital experience that reflects their real-life work.
This brand is a reminder that not every business needs to look ultra-trendy to be effective. What it needs is clarity, polish, and purpose.
